MR. JAMES EDWARD AKIN, 72, of Fulton, Arkansas, passed away on Monday August 6, 2007, at U.A.M.S Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born in Fulton, Ark. on October 11, 1934 to George Alford Akin and Connie Jones Akin. He was a retired sales manager for the former Buhrman-Pharr Hardware of Texarkana, Ark. He was a Christian. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife Joann Brinkley Akin, who passed away on May 17, 2004; by one brother Malcolm Akin and by two sisters, Gwendolyn Gwen Grisham and Josephine Akin. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: FIVE SONS: Al Akin, Little Rock, AR.; Wayne Akin and Deborah, Fulton, AR.; Eddy Akin and Patti, Prescott, AR.; Jimmy Joe Akin, Fulton AR.; Jeffery Arel Allen and Tina, Corinth, TX. TWO SISTERS: Mattie Green, Fulton, AR.; Dorothy Schwander, Little Rock, AR. ONE SPECIAL FRIEND: Barbara Smith, Fulton, AR. AND TWELVE GRANDCHILDREN AND TEN GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN AND A NUMBER OF NIECES AND NEPHEWS. GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 9, 2007, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hope, Ark., with Rev.
