MR. JAMES B. Mc GOUGH, 85, of Laneburg, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, March 24,2008, at Christus St. Michaels Health System, Texarkana, TX. He was born on May 15, 1922, in Laneburg, Ark. to Robert Buss and Lillie Rogers McGough. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Prescott, Ark. as well as a friend of Laneburg Baptist Church and Laneburg United Pentecostal Church. He was a World War II Veteran and retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant in January 1963. He was an Army Veteran also and a member the Air Force Sergeants Association. Upon his return to Arkansas, James was a poultry/cattle/timber producer. He was also the manager of Needmore Properties, LLC. James served as a board member of the Arkansas Soil and Conservation District for many years and was active in several community and county service organizations. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Woodrow McGough; and one sister, Marguerite Henley. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: His Wife: (of almost 60 years) Margaret E. "Peggy McGough, Laneburg, Ark. Two Sons: Robert James Bobby McGough and Carolyn, Laneburg, Ark. Richard Lee Rick McGough and Debora, Prescott, Ark. Four Grandchildren: Melinda A. McGough, Dallas, TX. James Robert McGough, Laneburg, Ark. Marcus James McGough, Fulton Ark. Angela M. Poindexter and John David, Mesquite, TX. & NUMEROUS NIECES & NEPHEWS & A HOST OF FRIENDS WHO LOVED HIM DEARLY. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 27, 2008, at Brazzel/Cornish Chapel, Prescott, Ark., with Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland and Rev. David Hampton officiating.
