Mr. James O. Jim Atkins, age 68, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. He was born in Hope, Arkansas, on April 22, 1942, to James Owen and Marjorie Welch Atkins. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas, an employee of the Migrant Center in Hope, Arkansas, and a member of the McDonalds Coffee Club. He was preceded in death by his father James Owen Atkins, Jr. and his mother Marjorie Welch Atkins Butler. His Survivors Include: One Brother: Woody Samuels, Long Beach, California. Three Sisters: Judith Carter and Cois, Grand Saline, Texas; Sandra Cheryl Gruenemay, Virginia City, Nevada; Marilyn Kay Atkins Sigler, Huntington Beach, California. And several nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 28, 2010, at Rose Hill Cemetery, Hope, Arkansas, with Rev. Jerry G.
