Mr. James Thomas "J.T." Still, 81, Hope, Arkansas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 27, 2009, at his home with his family and friends at his side. He was born in Nevada County, Arkansas on September 17, 1927, to Charlie and Tiney Etta House Still. He was a retired plaster and ceramic tile contractor and raised watermelons for many years. He was a member of Unity Baptist Church, Hope, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents; by three brothers, Jewell, Sr., Ray and Lee Still; by two sisters, Ophelia Bolls and Frances Edmonson. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: His Wife: (of 57 years) Barbara Simmons Still, Hope, Ark. Two Sons: Mike Still and wife Brenda, Lonsdale, Ark. Jack Still and wife Mona, Old Washington, Ark. One Daughter: Julie Stevenson and husband, David, Hope, Ark. Three Sister-In-Laws: Margaret Still, Hope, Ark. Willie Mae McKee, Hope, Ark. Willie Mae Still, Shreveport, LA. Five Grandchildren: Andy, Jeremy, Eldon, Joshua and Dixie Still; Two Step-grandchildren: Brian Rowe and Stephanie Connell; Eight Great-Grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, March 2, 2009, Unity Baptist Church, Hope, Arkansas, with Rev. I.V. Hight and Rev. Glen Tropp officiating.
