Mr. James Stockton, age 85, of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, the night of November 8,2013. He was born in Bonham, Texas to Jim and Iva Parks Stockton. He was a member of the Church of Christ of Prescott. Mr. Stockton was a Korean Veteran, he was in the 23rd Infantry Regiment AT & M Platoon. He was on the front line for ten months, he said "It was no conflict it was war." He worked at Potlatch Forestry as a millwright for many years. Mr. Stockton is preceded in death by his parents , a beloved son, Niles Stockton, who is missed so much every day, one brother, Charles Stockton, four sisters, Inez McRoy, Lousie Loomis, Clara Craig, and infant Sylvia Stockton. Mr. Stockton is survived by his wife Joan Chambless Stockton of Prescott, one son Nat Stockton and wife Beverly of Prescott, one daughter, Pam Gregory and husband Mark of McCaskill, Arkansas, two sisters, Joyce Henderson of Delight, Arkansas and Belinda Wilcox and husband Robert of Shreveport, Louisiana. Papa James is blessed with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Graveside services for Mr. Stockton will be 2:00pm, Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Delight Cemetery in Delight, Arkansas, with Mr. Harley Sisson officiating .
