MR. JAMES A. "JIM" TOMLIN, Jr. , 72 of McCaskill passed away at his home Sunday, January 4, 2009. Mr. Tomlin was a retired employee of Union Pacific Railroad and the son of Amzie and Bessie Sutton Tomlin. Mr. Tomlin was an avid outdoorsman & trapper who loved to hunt, fish & work in his garden. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Author Dale Tomlin and a sister, Lela Tomlin Hatfield. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE (of 48 years) Jean Ball Tomlin, McCaskill TWO SONS; Beau Tomlin and Jason Tomlin, McCaskill, DAUGHTER; Rebecca Tomlin, McCaskill, THREE BROTHERS: James Tomlin & Margaret, Bluff City, Dent Tomlin and Betty, Rosston, Jerry Tomlin and Judy, Jacksonville, TWO SISTERS: Hazel Plyler, Chidester, Bonnie Lawler & Ralph, Rosston Seven Grandchildren, One Great-grandson and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 in BRAZZEL/Cornish Chapel with Rev. Joe Brown and Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating.
