Mr. James Henry VanHook Sr., age 78 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his home. He was born April 14, 1940 in Emmet, Arkansas to Acie and Elsie Stueart VanHook Sr. Mr. VanHook was a retired log loader for Potlatch and attended St. Paul Church in Emmet, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harvey and Alvin.

Survivors include his wife Willie Mae VanHook, two sons, James Jr. (Betty) of Prescott, AR, Shawn Acie (Pam) of Prescott, AR, two daughters, Danita Thomas of Hope, AR, Natasha Walton (Keyon) of Prescott, AR, a brother Acie Jr., nine grandchildren, Ayaihna, Shaylee, Matthew, Khary, Irie, Bransen, Briana, Kayla, and Payton, a special friend John Henagan, and other family and friends.

Family Wake will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, Thursday, December 13, 2018 at BRAZZEL/Cornish 1196 HWY 371 West Prescott, Arkansas 71857.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Friday, December 14, 2018 at Central Baptist Church in Prescott, Arkansas with Bro. Ivory Curry officiating. Burial will follow at Snell Cemetery in Emmet, Arkansas.
