Mr. James Whatley, 69, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2009 at Wadley Regional Medical Center, Texarkana, Texas. He was born in Hempstead County, Arkansas on February 14, 1940, to Henry Andrew and and Lena Mary Stevenson Whatley. He was a retired manager from Nest-Fresh Egg Plant of Blevins, Arkansas and also a retired truck driver. He was a member of Anderson Baptist Church, Spring Hill, Ark. He was preceded in death by his parents; by one brother, Henry Whatley and by one sister, Sue Gray. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: His Wife: (of 26 years) Cheryl Nolen Whatley, Hope, Ark. Three Daughters: Connie Comire, Concord, New Hampshire. Daffney Dee Dee Whatley, Washington. Gina Belinda Whatley Thomason and Scott, New Boston, Texas. One Brother: R. Clifford Whatley and Ophelia, Spring Hill, Ark. One Sister: Marjorie Nell Stone and Kenneth, Hope, Ark. Five Grandchildren and Three great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2009, Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Arkansas, with Rev. Larry Brown and Rev. Eric Fisher officiating.
