Mrs. Janice Foshee, age 82 of Gurdon passed away, Thursday, September 12 at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab in Arkadelphia. Mrs. Foshee was born in Smithton, Arkansas on March 10, 1931 to Tobe and Lois McDonald Toland. She is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters; Gloria Scoggins and Anne Selph. Mrs. Foshee was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Gurdon, where she served as an Elder for a number of years. She was a Registered Nurse, serving as the Director of Nursing at the Gurdon Hospital, working at Pineview Nursing Home and the Clark County Hospital. She retired as the Nursing Instructor at Henderson State University in Arkadelphia in 1996. Her survivors are her loving and devoted husband, of 64 years, C.B. Foshee of Gurdon, her son; David Foshee, wife, Sarah of Hot Springs, her brother; Jewel Toland of Camden and sister; Mickey Johnson of Hope, three grandchildren: Sydney Purifoy, Ryan Foshee and Marilu Foshee and 2 great-grandchildren, other family members and a host of friends. Funeral will be 2:30pm, Sunday, September 15 at the First Presbyterian Church in Gurdon, with Lon and Liz Hardin officiate. Visitation will be from 1:00pm, till service time at the church.
