Mrs. Jeanette C. Holt, 93 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at her home in Hope. Mrs. Holt was born, Friday, June 8, 1917 in Ozan, Arkansas to Pierce and Genie Citty. She was a graduate of Tyler Commercial College in Tyler, Texas. She was a bookkeeper at Haynes Brothers Department Store in Hope for 15 years. She was married to Hervey A. Holt on Wednesday, June 8, 1938. They were longtime members of First Baptist Church in Hope, she and Hervey left to help start a mission which became Calvary Baptist Church. With her husband, Mrs. Holt served at Calvary as a Bible Teacher and a devoted member for the remainder of her life. Preceding her in death were her husband and one sister, Winnie Sparks. Survivors include two cousins, Billy Citty and wife, Verna of Texarkana, Arkansas; Bill Bradford and wife, Karen of Leola, Arkansas, niece-in-law Carol Noyes and great niece, Karen Noyes of Houston, TX, great nephew, Ken Noyes and wife, Dawn of Norwich, CT, two great-great nieces and a host of very special friends. Family will receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Friday, April 22 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Funeral service, 2:00pm, Saturday, April 23 at Calvary Baptist Church, Hope. Burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Bro. Scott Neathery and Dr. Hal Dixon will officiate the service. The Holt Family extends a sincere thanks to; Dr. Goins, Hempstead County Hospice Staff and the great caregivers who stayed with Mrs. Holt.
