Mr. Jerry Dwane Garner, 68, Hope passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in Medical Park Hospital in Hope, Arkansas. Jerry was born July 19, 1940 to Roy and Nioma Orren Garner in Prescott, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; L.D. Garner and William Huey Garner. Jerry was a people person who never met a stranger and often counseled younger members of his extended family. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Navy; was a Baptist and a retired property manager. He is survived by: his wife of 41 years, Nelda Garner, Hope, Son; Brad Garner, Hope, Two Brothers; Mike Garner and wife, Connie, North Little Rock, Mickey Patrick and wife, Doris C., Hope and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, February 6, 2009, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope. Burial to follow in Piney Grove Cemetery, Boughton, Arkansas, with Rev. Jerry G.
