Mr. Jerry Arthur Milam, age 72, of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013, at Christus St. Michael Health System in Texarkana, Texas. He was born on October 8, 1941, in Nevada County, Arkansas to Lee Arthur and Mary Lou Harrison Milam. Mr. Milam was a retired electrician and co-owner of J & J Fuels. He was a former member of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Delight and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Prescott where he served in many capacities over the years. Mr. Milam was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Lee Milam. Mr. Milam is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet Hale Milam of Prescott, a son, Jeff Milam and his wife Trish of Prescott, a daughter, Jena Martin and husband David of Coppell, Texas, four grandchildren, Jake Milam, Judd Milam, Connor Martin and Addison Martin, numerous other family members and a host of friends. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, November 19, at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Prescott, 125 West 2nd North, Prescott, Arkansas. Funeral service for Mr. Milam will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 20, at the First United Methodist Church of Prescott, with Rev. Carlton Cross and Rev. Bill Fish officiating.
