Obituary

Mr. Jess Elvin Anderson, age 82, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away, Monday, June 24, 2013, in Hope. He was born on January 2, 1931, in Hope, to Willie L. and Lee Buster Anderson. He was a self employed painter and carpenter and a member of Southside Missionary Baptist Church in Hope. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jewel Walker Anderson, a son, Wayne Anderson, two brothers, Elmer Anderson and Willie Anderson. Mr. Anderson is survived by a son, Jerry L. Anderson of Hope, three daughters, Connie Hawley and husband Jimmy of Maumelle, Arkansas, Rebecca Campbell of Hope, and Christy Anderson of Hope, two brothers, Merlin Anderson and wife Patsy of Hope and John Anderson of Hope, a cousin who was like a sister to him, Maxine Lively, three grandchildren, numerous other family members and a host of friends. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 26, at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Funeral service for Mr. Anderson will be 10:00 am, Thursday, June 27, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel Bro. Duane Parrish officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope.
