Jesse Harold Gilbert, 86 of Central, LA, passed away peacefully at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. He was a retired machinist from Copolymer of 63 years and a U. S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a long time member and a past Deacon of Galilee Baptist Church, located at 11050 Greenwell Springs - Pt. Hudson Road, Zachary, LA, where the services will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013. Visitation from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, religious services at 11:30 am, conducted by Pastor Ron Lowery. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce Warren Gilbert, daughter, Kathleen Price and husband Matt, grandchildren, Kelvin Price and wife Kris, Venus Dresser Woodward and husband Bernie, Erick Vincent, and Stephanie Martin. Great-grandchildren, Drew Price, Wes Price, Kate Price, Gus Price, Aril Dresser, Gabriel Dresser, Maria Dresser, Domiknick Martin, Jacob Vincent, Madelynn Vincent, Joseph Vincent, and Olivia Vincent. Daughter, Myra Corby and husband Joseph, and granddaughter, Christine Corby. Daughter, Cindy McAllister and husband Daniel, grandchildren, Chantel Rome, Amber Rome, Tonya Gomez and husband Floyd, Ashley Gubancisk and husband Brandon, and Alison Sellen and husband Jeremey. Great-grandchildren, Caitlin Gomez, Haileigh Gomez, Kaylee Thibodeaux, Hannah Gubancisk, Caroline Gubancisk and Owen Sellen. Son, Jesse Gilbert, Jr., grandchildren, Trent Gilbert, Phillip Gilbert, Alexzander Gilbert, and Aspyn Wilson. Daughter, Sirena Melus and husband Steve, and grandson Connor Melus. Also survived by a sister Alice Weatherby and husband Wayne, brother, Paul Gilbert and wife Joy, brother, Phillip Gilbert and wife Nancy, many cousins, nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by son, Trent Gilbert and granddaughter, Jessica Gilbert.
