Obituary

Mr. Jessie James Warren, 81, Blevins, Ark. passed away on Thursday March 6, 2008 in Linrock Health and Rehab, Texarkana, Ark. He was born on March 25, 1926 in Hempstead County, Arkansas to the late Jyner Warren and Estella Johnson Warren. Jessie was the fourth child of a union of nine children. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Mable Chambers in 1992. He was preceded by his wife, five brothers and two sisters. Jessie confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of the St. Thomas Baptist Church, Prescott. He served as a financial secretary in the early years. He also attended various churches in the community, until his health began to fail. Jessie became disabled at an early age, but he continued to do what he could around his home and giving advice to others. He tried very hard to be a man of his word, and promoted it by telling others when you say something or tell somebody you are going to do something for them; do that. Of course this meant doing good work, or helping someone, and being dependable. Jessie was quite a philosopher on life, and in his explaining to you, he made it plain and vivid that almost everyone knew exactly what he meant, a lesson well taught . Jessie will be truly missed by those who knew him and loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory: One sister Freddie Hubbard (Frederick) of Raymore, Missouri. One brother-in-law: Judge Wise of Emmet, Arkansas. And a host of nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2008, at Green Hill A.M.E. Church, Hempstead County, Arkansas, with Rev. Billy Porter officiating. Burial to follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home, Prescott, Ark. A WAKE will be held on Friday, March 14, 2008, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home Chapel, Prescott, Ark.
