Mrs. Jewel Fay Tullis, age 88, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013, at Baptist Health Center in Little Rock. She was born March 8, 1924, in Ashdown, Arkansas, to Samuel and Lillie Ford Johnson. Mrs. Tullis was a homemaker and a member of Unity Baptist Church in Hope for over 60 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Tullis is survived by her husband of 70 years, Arvel Lee Tullis, a son, David Tullis and wife Paula of Hope, three daughters, Barbara Estes and husband Hubert of Hope, Teresa Calhoun of Hope, and Polly Browning and husband Conrad of Little Rock, eight grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday January 14, at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Funeral service for Mrs. Tullis will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 15, at Unity Baptist Church in Hope, Bro. Glen Tropp officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope.
