Mrs. Jewel Dean Watkins Moore, age 92, of Hope, Arkansas joyfully went to be with her heavenly father and loved ones on June 15th, lovingly surrounded by her three children. She was a devoted and selfless mother, mother-in-law, grandma, sister, and friend and was loved beyond measure. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, and dear friends. Despite her loss of vision from age related macular degeneration, she continued her life long love of reading through countless audio books. She also enjoyed talking on the phone to her family and friends keeping current on news and politics. She was born October 10, 1921, in Washington, Arkansas, to Sherman and Ethel Manus Cox. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Martha Cox. She was preceded in death by two husbands, at age 17 she married the love of her life and father of her children; Lester Neal "Jack" Watkins. Later in her life she was blessed to have married Norman Moore, who was a loving and devoted husband and friend to her family. Mrs. Moore was a retired secretary for Garland Elementary School for 30 years, a home maker, a member of the Unity Baptist Church in Hope for many years and a member of the Spares and Pairs Sunday School Class. Those left to cherish her memory, two sons; Jack Watkins, wife, Donna and Bo Watkins, wife, Sandra all of Hope, daughter; Joan Smith, husband, Paul of Texarkana, Texas, brother; Larry Cox of Bentonville, Arkansas, three sisters; June Phillips and Nell Jones both of Hope and Mary Martin of Spring Hill, five grandchildren; Clint Watkins, wife, Suzanna of Hope, Wesley Watkins of Bismarck, Christy Watkins of Little Rock, Lauren Smith of Alexandria, VA, and Ryan Smith of Texarkana, TX, two great- grandchildren; Ty and Ana Marie Watkins, special family members; Kenneth Gillam of Hot Springs, Sarah Gillam Egan of Seattle, WA, and Dan Gillam of Cabot, special family friend; Jimmy Howell of Hope, and a host of other family and friends.
