Mrs. Jimmie Nell Sanders, 79 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Sunday at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. Jimmie Nell was born on Saturday, February 13, 1932 to Troy and Gladys Chandler Wakefield in Nashville, Arkansas. She is the widow of Houston Alvin Sanders, who passed away in 1988. Mrs. Sanders was retired from the Department of Education Services and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hope, Arkansas. She was a Date Education Specialist for Migrant Education System and a Pink Lady volunteer for Medical Park Hospital in Hope, AR, and a proud member of Hope High School Class of 1950. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother; Bobby Wakefield. Mrs. Sanders is survived by; Two sons; James Roy Sanders, wife Nancy, Lindale, TX; Randall Sanders, wife Ginny, Hope; Three daughters: Rebecca Mallonee, husband Steve, Covina, CA; Deborah Crayne, husband, Jackie, Springdale, AR; Judith Shamsie, Morrilton, AR; Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Her family will receive friends, Wednesday, March 30, between the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Memorial service for Mrs. Sanders will be held, Thursday, March 31, 2:00PM at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Reverend Scott Neathery and Dr. Hal Dixon to officiate the service. Burial to be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
