Mr. Jimmy Black, age 77 of Hope, Arkansas passed away, Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at his home. Mr. Black was born in Gurdon, Arkansas on September 11, 1936 to Amos E. and Floye Hart Black. He attended the Christian Church in Gurdon, he was a Marine Corp Veteran and a certified welder. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother; Ronald E. Black. Survivors include; four daughters; Delisha Clutts of Washington, DC, Diane Owens of Waco, Texas, Lori Thrash of Norfolk, Virginia and Kim Black of San Antonio, Texas, brother; Larry Black, wife, Joanne of Hope, his sister; Charlotte Boatman of Fulton and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews, other family members and friends. Visitation will be a East Memorial Gardens, Texarkana, Arkansas from 2:00 to 3:00pm on Saturday, April 5, 2014. Graveside service will follow the visitation at 3:00pm, on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at East Memorial Gardens in Texarkana with Chaplain Sidney Melton officiating.
