Mr. J. L. Ward, age 80 of Prescott, Arkansas passed way Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in Little Rock, Arkansas. J.L. was born August 7, 1934 in Prescott, Arkansas to Dennis L. and Lelia Parks Ward. He is preceded in death by his parents. J.L. was a retired truck driver for Holmes Freight Line, a member of the local teamster Union # 745 for 35 years and a member of First United Methodist Church in Prescott. He was very active in the church and served on the Trustee Committee. He was a very kind, generous and quiet friend to all that knew him and a very loving and devoted man to his family. Survivors include; his wife; of 62 years, Sue Steele Ward of Prescott, son; Darryl Ward, wife, Cheryl of Mansfield, Texas, daughter; Dianne Wolfe, husband, John of Prescott, brother; James D. Ward, wife, Pat of Benton, Arkansas, sister; Faye Dean Allison, husband, Harold of Little Rock, Arkansas, three grandchildren: Chesley Wolfe of Prescott, Kale Ward and Chloe Ward both of Mansfield. In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to the First United Methodist Church 125 West 2nd North Prescott, AR 71857 or to your favorite charity.
