Joan Stockton, age 91, of Hope, Arkansas formerly of Prescott, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2026.

Mrs. Stockton was born on November 18, 1934, in Prescott, Arkansas to her parents, Walker and Fannie Schooley Chambless. She was a member of the Prescott Church of Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband James Stockton; son, Niles Stockton; brother, Herbert Chambless; three sisters, June Carruthers, Mary Ruth Abbot, and Sammy Martin.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Nat Stockton (Beverly) of Prescott; daughter, Pam Gregory (Mark) of McCaskill; five grandchildren, Lacie Buck (Steve), Ty Lavender, Caitlin Love (Hunter), Kellen Stockton (Jill), Justin Gregory (Nicole); one great-grandchild, Clair Fry Cowling (Cole); and one great-great grandchild, Colley Cowling.

A private family graveside will be held under the direction of Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home, The Funeral Home of Prescott, Ben Brazzel, Director.
