Mr. Joe Robert Barham formally of Hope & Texarkana, AR passed away Sunday May 5, 2024 at the age of 98.

Mr. Barham served on the naval ship USS Siboney beginning at the age of 17. To this day he could remember his ship and his job. Mr. Barham spent three years in the Navy. Joe was hired by the AR highway Dept. as a welder in Hope until he retired. After he retired Joe & Martha rode motorcycles and sang at various nursing homes in the Hope-Texarkana area.

Mr. Barham was proceeded in death by his wife, Martha, son, Bobby, father, Jessie Barham & mother, Georgia Grimsley Barham.

Joe is survived by his daughter, Debbie & her husband, Rev. Terry Helms of Lockesburg, grandson, Kyle Robertson of LRAFB, Angela Akin of Texarkana, TX & her husband Eric Akin & family, Aaron Akin and Isaac Akin.

Special friends include his mall walking buddies, pizza buddies & church family.

Very special thanks to: Sis Reba Grider & Willard Simpson who were faithful friends.

Visitation will be Thursday May 9, 2024, at 10:00 am at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Graveside service will follow at 10:30 am at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Robert Jansen Officiating.
