Mr. Joe Lee Hopson, age 64 of Prescott, passed away from this life on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at Prescott Manor Nursing Home in Prescott, Arkansas. He was born December 24, 1951 in Prescott, Arkansas to Dan and Marie Charles Hopson, the fourth of nine children. He attended McRae Public School. He joined Mt. Ephesus Baptist Church at an early age. Joe was a loving and caring person and always showed love and compassion for those in need. He was a very selfless person who would give you the coat off his back. Joe is preceded in death by his father, Dan Hopson, his mother, Marie Charles Hopson, a sister, Josephine Hopson Henderson and a brother, Dan Hopson, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories; four sisters: Rev. Janice Haynes, husband Herman, Carolyn Hawthorne, husband, Andrew, Ada Graham and Joanne Latin all of Prescott, Arkansas, three brothers; Harold Hopson, wife, Erma of Hope, Arkansas, Wallace Hopson and Roy Hopson both of  Little Rock, Arkansas, a brother-in-law; Bedie Joe Henderson of Prescott, a sister-in-law, Mary Hopson of Richmond, California and his ex-wife, Helen Marks Hopson of Prescott, also a special friend, Ozella Hopper, his loving grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Prescott Manor and the whole staff; "You all supported us and took excellent care of our brother in his time of need".  A "Special" thanks to Linda and Keisha for going the extra mile.

Visitation for Mr. Hopson will be 10:00am to 5:00pm on Friday, July 22, 2016 at BRAZZEL/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott.
