Mr. Joe Munn, Jr., 85 of Emmet, went home to be with his Lord on Tuesday in Baptist Medical Center, Little Rock, Ark. He was born February 4, 1924, in Nevada Co., Arkansas, to Joe and Oscar Brooks Munn. He was a faithful member and deacon of Antioch Baptist Church of Laneburg, Arkansas. He was an Army Veteran, Purple Heart and Silver Star Recipient of World War II, after which he was a chicken and cattle farmer until he retired. He enjoyed many hunting and fishing trips and was an avid storyteller. He was preceded in death by his parents and one great-granddaughter, Brooke Rash. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 59 years) Frances Campbell Munn, Emmet, Ark. One Son: Danny Munn and Janet, Benton, Ark. One Daughter: Gail Stewart and Billy Don, Emmet, Ark. One Sister: Virginia Murrah, Texarkana, Ark. And Six Grandchildren, Thirteen Great-Grandchildren and a host of family and friends which he dearly loved and cherished.
