Mr. Joe Stephens, age 74, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away at his home on Saturday, February 16, 2013. Mr. Stephens was born, Wednesday, December 7, 1938 in Lockesburg, Arkansas to Bill and Ovie Shaw Stephens. He was a self-employed roofing contractor, a Christian and US Marine. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nita Stephens, two brothers; Leslie and Jerry Stephens, and his son, Ricky Stephens. Survivors include; three sons; David Stephens of Texarkana, Brian Hardy of Hope and Patrick Hardy, wife, Amy of Ft. Smith, three daughters; Jo Ann Elder, Texarkana, TX, Shelia Stephens of Prescott, AR, and Linda Murray of Ft. Smith, AR and eleven grandchildren: Joseph, Becky, Audriana, Dillon, Justin, David Jr, William, Caroline, Piper, Eamonn and Aidan, other family members and friends.
