Mr. Joe Harold Wren, age 84 of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Friday, July 10, 2015. Joe was born January 27, 1931 in Prescott, Arkansas to Floyd and Grace Bates Wren. He called Nevada County home. Cattle was a significant aspect throughout his life starting at a very young age. From having the Arkansas State Fair Grand Champion Steer at the age of 17, to raising his children, to bottle feeding calves in their kitchen. While cattle was a life passion, he made a very long and successful career as a master plumber providing not only exceptional service, but also great friendships. He spent his last four years living at Hillcrest Care and Rehabilitation Center where he was cared for by special friends and an amazing staff. They immediately became a second family. He will always be remembered as a caring father, a loving grandfather, a friend to everyone, a hero to many, and the definition of a true cowboy. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Grace Bates Wren and Floyd Alonzo Wren, wife, Josephine Crews Wren, his brother, Fred Wren, and three sisters; Louise Wren Mitchell, Lillian Wren Stewart, and Francis Wren Durbin. He is survived by his wife, Kay Ridgell Wren, six children; Larry Wren and his wife, Mary, Steve Wren and his wife, Janis, Fred Wren and his wife, Anne, Kim Wren, Tim Wren, Angie Hendrix and her husband, Gary, sister Pat Wells and her husband, Harold, seventeen grandchildren; Shane Wren, Christi Sullivan and her husband, Monty, Bryan Wren, Billy, Brandon Wren and his wife, Lisa, Kelley Dice and her husband, Cory, Joey Wren, Billy Wren, Matt Duff, Chris Duff, Brittany Edwards, Abby Wren, Tori Wren, Mari Wren, Kelsey Dendy and her husband, Chris, Tyler Adkins, Brooke Adkins, nine great-grandchildren; Kristen, Charleigh, and Abigail Wren, Jade, Micah, and Amber Wren, Caden and Chase Dice, and Cooper Dendy, and a bonus daughter, Teresa Henderson Moore. The family would like to extend a special thanks to friends and staff at Hillcrest Care and Rehabilitation Center. Visitation is 6:00-8:00pm Sunday, July 12, 2015 at BRAZZEL/Cornish Funeral Home in Prescott. Funeral service is 10:00am Monday, July 13, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Prescott with Rev. Jerry G.
