Mr. John R. Bobby Hicks, Sr, age 75, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, in Dubuis Hospital in Texarkana, Texas. He was born August 1, 1935, in Columbus, Arkansas, to Herbert and Verda Hicks. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Magnolia, Arkansas. He was owner and operator of Hicks Automotive in Magnolia, Arkansas, and had been employed with the Ford Motor Company in Magnolia, Arkansas, for 35 years. Bobby dearly loved his grandchildren and his favorite pastime was fishing on Kelley Lake and mowing lawns on his John Deere tractor. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Herbert Ray Hicks; one sister Mary Frances Farrar and one niece Rhonda Hughes. His Survivors Include: His Wife: Dianne Hicks, Hope, Arkansas. One Son: John R. Hicks, Jr. and wife Shawnee, Magnolia, Arkansas. One Daughter: Lisa Johnson and husband Tim, Goose Creek, South Carolina. One Stepson: Shane Rudd and wife Angela, Bismarck, Arkansas. One Stepdaughter: Amy Robin Wicker and husband Richard, Hope, Arkansas. One Brother: Larry Hicks and wife Linda, Bodcaw, Arkansas. One Sister: Debbie Horton and husband Steve, Blanchard, Louisiana. One Brother-In-Law: Malbert Farrar, Magnolia, Arkansas. Ten Grandchildren: Jordan, Sydnee, Karley, Lexie, Maverick, Jazzlan, Jillian, Kaitlyn, Kaleb and Skyelah. And other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 31, 2010, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Arkansas, with Dr. Hal Dixon officiating.
