John William Pennington Jr. age 73, of Billstown AR, passed away on January 2, 2023. He was born on July 27th, 1949, to John William and Dorothy Daniels Pennington Sr. of Houston Texas.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lydia Gail Pennington, whom he was married for thirty-seven years, and John Eric Pennington. He was a loving father, skilled worker, and veteran of Vietnam from 1969-1972. John enjoyed deep sea fishing, gardening, and cooking with family. He loved his sports and he always had a smile to share. He was a very giving man and a true believer in Jesus Christ, as he was sure to teach his children of God's love. In his last hours his time was spent in the comfort of his son, Jacob, and daughter, Tina.

John is survived by a daughter, Tina Maree Pennington, a son, Jacob William Pennington, four granddaughters; Monica Johnson, Jessica Orosco, Melina Adams, and Brianna Smith, along with eleven wonderful great grandchildren.

Services will be held January 5th, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel Hope AR.
