MR. JOHN WILLIAM PENNINGTON, SR., 90, of McCaskill, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Mine Creek Nursing Home, Nashville, Arkansas. He was born October 28, 1917, in Alba, Texas, to John Thomas and Jessie Mae Titsworth Penington. He was a welder. He was a Baptist and a Army Veteran of World War II, having received the Purple Heart and various other medals. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: ONE SON: John William Pennington, Jr., Houston, Texas. THREE DAUGHTERS: Bonnie Loving, Conroe, Texas. Vivian Roberts, McCaskill, Ark. Balanda Pennington, Bryan, Texas. ONE BROTHER: Billy Pennington, Ft. Worth, Texas. AND SEVEN GRANDCHILDREN AND TWO GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN. GRAVESIDE SERVICES will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 27, 2008, Merrill Cemetery, Belton Community, McCaskill, Ark., with Rev. James Roberts officiating. Burial to follow.
