Mr. John R. "Dickie" Carlton, age 76 of Bodcaw, Arkansas, passed away Thursday August 22, 2019, in Texarkana, Texas. Dickie was born June 1, 1943 in Bodcaw, Arkansas to John Henry and Pearl Clements Carlton. He was a retired truck driver and a member of Bodcaw #1 Baptist Church. Mr. Carlton was very devoted to his family and his church. He is preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Shannon Flowers, three sisters, Brenda Carlton Banks, Joy Carlton Chandler, and Jamie Carlton Prince.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Marilyn Baker Carlton, a son Russ Carlton, two brothers: Larry Carlton (Lana) and Randy Carlton (Sherry) all of Bodcaw, two grandchildren: Walker Flowers (Angel) and Lillie Nivens and two great-grandchildren: Hayzley and Kenzley Flowers, one adopted daughter Lindsey Curtis Rosenbaum, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Mr. Carlton will be 6:00 to 8:00pm on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 S. Main Hope, AR.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Lane Garner and Bro. David Hampton officiating. Burial will be in Bodcaw#1 Cemetery with Bro. Neil Ridling and Bro. Bo Murphy officiating the graveside. Arrangements are by BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director.
