John Ricky
Revels
May 27, 1959 — May 2, 2025
Texarkana
John "Ricky" Revels passed into the arms of Jesus on May 2nd, 2025, surrounded by his wife, kids, and grandson. He was born in Hope, AR on May 27th, 1959, to John Martin & Betty Green Revels.
John (Rick) worked for the Red River Army Depot for the past 21 years. During his tenure as a Federal employee, his services were extended as he was deployed for 6 months overseas to serve in Iraq in 2008 and again in 2011 for Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He loved the Lord and his family with his whole heart, and he made sure everyone knew it. He was a wonderful husband and father, and would do anything for the people he loved, even strangers if they were in need.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Betty, his sister Mary Nona Clayton, and his Doberman Lexi Revels.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Pamela Revels, his son and daughter-in-law Jonathan & Kayla Revels, his daughter and son-in-law, Megan & Trysten Lewis, one grandson Theodore "Teddy" Revels, one sister Teresa King, one brother Jack (Susan) Revels, along with a host of nieces, nephews, family, & friends.
How beautiful that we got 65 years with a man with the biggest heart.
" Don't Cry For Me
Don't cry for me because
The grass will grow,
The winds will blow,
The sun will rise tomorrow.
Everytime you think of me,
Remember who I am.
I'm the one who helped give you life.
The one that loves you more than you know.
But now it is my time.
I know you will be sad.
We've had lots of time,
And precious moments together.
Remember how i loved you.
I know you loved me too.
I know you will miss me.
But whatever do not forget
All that I've done for you.
John R. Revels
