Mr. John Howard Thompson, 70, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Christus St. Michaels Health System, Texarkana, Texas. He was born on July 1, 1937, in Valeda, Kansas, to John Thompson and Minnie Elizabeth Hedrick Thompson. He was retired from the Ark. Highway Dept. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church. He loved his hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents; by one brother, Wayne Smith; and by three sisters, Mary Poncy, Margie Poncy and Ora Wray. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: His Wife: (of 48 years): Helen L. Carczynski Thompson, Hope, Ark. Two Sons: Jerry Thompson and Brenda, Luling, LA. Danny Thompson, Hope, Ark. Two Daughters: Becky Kubin and Jeff, Caldwell, TX. Karen Bobo and Rodney, Hope, Ark. Three Grandchildren: Ashley Kidd, Danielle Thompson and Bradley Thompson. And Several Nieces and Nephews and Cousins. FUNERAL MASS will be 9:00 a.m., Monday, March 17, 2008, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Hope, Ark., with Father Kevin Atunzu officiating.
