Mr. John C. Yancey, 65, of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Saturday April 25, 2009, at his home. He was born on November 26, 1943, in Texarkana, Texas, to Clifton Thomas and Charlotte Estelle Phillips Yancey. He was a former administrator of Nevada County Hospital for 34 years; former lab employee of Robins Chemical Plant and manager of Prescott Country Club. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Prescott, Arkansas. He was also a member of the Double Bogey Club at the Prescott Country Club, Prescott, Ark., where he loved his golf. He was preceded in death by his parents. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 10 years) Beverly Blevins Yancey, Prescott, Arkansas ONE SON: Cody Warren Yancey, Prescott, Arkansas. TWO DAUGHTERS: Casi Lynn Yancey Hopper and Dan, Logansport, Indiana. Kimberly Ann Carlton and Kevin, Bodcaw, Arkansas ONE SISTER: Mary Yancey Ruggles and Don, Texarkana, Ark. FOUR GRANDCHILDREN: Nathan Daniel Hopper, Nicholas Warren Hopper, and Noah Clifton Hopper, all of Logansport, Indiana. Jacob Gregory Carlton, Bodcaw, Arkansas. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2008, at First Baptist Church, Prescott, Ark., with Rev. Neal Ridling and Rev Jerry G. Westmoreland officiating.
