Mrs. Jolly C. McBay Murphy, age 75, of Hope, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Baptist Health Hospital in Little Rock. She was born July 13, 1937, in Spring Hill, Arkansas, to T. G. and Cora Nations McBay. Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker and a member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church in Hope. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Alicia Murphy, three brothers, Tom McBay, Herschel McBay and Jimmy McBay, and a sister Joyce Jones. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Murphy, a son Greg Murphy of Hope, three daughters, Cindy Kidd and husband Dennis of Spring Hill, Arkansas, Lori Moreau and husband Paul of Monroe, Louisiana, and Janene Atkinson and husband Gerren of Norman, Arkansas, eleven grandchildren, Cody Gray, Lindsay Dobbins, Amelia Nash, Alex Moreau, Andrew Moreau, Abby Moreau, Zane Moreau, Shelby Blackman, Taylor Blackmon, J. D. Stockton and Jett Atkinson, and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Friday, February 1, at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. Funeral service for Mrs. Murphy will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 2, at the Brazzel/Oakcrest Chapel, Bro. Wayne Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope.
