Mrs. Venita Joyce Brown Hooks, 75 of Prescott passed away Monday, November 16, 2009 at her home. She was born September 8, 1934, in Boughton, AR to Lester P. and Gertrude Stockton Brown. She was an interior decorator having worked for Home Interior and Gifts for over 30 years. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Prescott. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include; her husband (of 59 years) Billy Hooks, Prescott, Son: Rick Hooks, Prescott, Daughter: Debbie Ashbrook and Danny of Jonesboro, Sister; June Johnson of Benton, Five Grandchildren: Julie Wood, Jonesboro, Monica Darby, Nesbit, MS, Whitney Ashbrook, Jonesboro, Crystal Hooks, Prescott and Brant Hooks, Hope with Nine Great-Grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at Brazzel-Cornish The Funeral Home Chapel in Prescott, with Rev. Elmer Nugent officiating. Burial to follow in Piney Grove Cemetery located in Boughton, Arkansas. Arrangements by Brazzel-Cornish Funeral Home of Prescott, AR.
