Mrs. Joyce Marie Simmons Young, age 85 of Ashdown, Arkansas, formerly of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away, Thursday, April 12, 2018 in a local nursing home in Hope.  Mrs. Young was born in Peason, Louisiana on November 3, 1932 to M. J. "Josh" and Edna Horton Simmons.  She was a home maker and of the Baptist faith.  Mrs. Young is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Allen J. Young, Sr., a brother Mike Simmons, a sister Dottie Kahler and her step-mother Myrtle Simmons.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters-in-law, Allen J. Young, Jr, wife Sandra of Spring Hill, AR, Robert Young, wife Louise of Burwell, NE, one sister Audrey Jones of Texarkana, TX, a brother Richard Simmons, wife Carolyn of Sedona, AZ, two grandsons; Andy Young and Allen J. Young, III and one great-grandson Dakota Young

Visitation for Mrs. Young will be private.
