Obituary

Mrs. Joye Adams, age 90 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 in Prescott. Mrs. Adams was born August 11, 1925 in Bodcaw, Arkansas, to Gus and Amy Shipp Ammons. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Prescott, Arkansas, and he was a homemaker. Her favorite hobby was to plow and grow her own garden. Mrs. Adams was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by many. Mrs. Adams is preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Amy Ammons, her husband, Thomas Jefferson Adams, five brothers; Robert and Shell Ammons, Floyd and Arlis Ammons, Glenn Ammons, two sisters; Belvia McGuire, Bessie Rash, and one grandson, Aaron Adams.

Survivors include: four sons; Bobby, Charles, and Jerry Adams, all of Prescott, Arkansas, Stacy Adams and his wife, Lisa, of Hope, Arkansas, one daughter, Cathy Thompson and her husband, Jimmy, of Sheridan, Arkansas, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and other family and friends.

Visitation is 12:00-2:00pm, Tuesday January 5, 2016 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.

Funeral Service is 2:00pm, Tuesday January 5, 2016 at Brazzel/Cornish Chapel with Bro. Tom Mitchell officiating. Burial to follow at Ebeneezer Cemetery in Bluff City, Arkansas.
