Mrs. June Carruthers, age 84 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Monday, March 4, 2019 at her home.  Mrs. Carruthers was born November 18, 1934 to Walker and Fannie (Schooley) Chambless. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Leon Carruthers; brother Herbert Chambless and a sister Mary Ruth Abbott.

Mrs. Carruthers is a member of the Church of Christ in Hope, she was a home maker and a devoted mother and caregiver to her son her whole life.

Mrs. Carruthers is survived by her son: Brent Carruthers of Hope, two sisters; Sammy Martin of Hope and Joan Stockton of Prescott, sister-in-law Ann Campbell of Laneburg. There are numerous nephews and nieces and three great caregivers: Renee Harris, Katie Richardson and Kassidy Witherspoon.

Those serving as pallbearers: Matt Chambless, Kellen Stockton, Mark Gregory, Alan Martin, Ty Lavender and Jason Chambless.

No family visitation is scheduled.
