Mrs. Katherine Ileana Perryman, 85 of Hope passed away, Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Dallas, Texas. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 30, 1927 to Lilburn Osborn and Mary Louise Umpstead Rickert. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband for 64 years of marriage, Ellis Perryman and sister; Mary Louise Siddons. Katherine was a long time member of the Hope Church of Christ. At an early age her family moved to Southern California where at age 16, Katherine met her husband, Ellis Lalan Perryman, who went to be with the Lord, October 28, 2008. They were married in 1944 in Lynwood, California and resided in Petaluma, California for decades where they reared their two children. Upon retiring, they purchased land and built a home in Hope, where Ellis grew up as a child and there they lived a full and happy life. After the death of her husband, Katherine moved to Dallas to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Katherine had a versatile hobbies, ranging from raising pedigree poodles, feeding stray animals on the farm, riding dirt bikes and she loved to dance with her great-grandchildren. She was extremely talented in needle work and crocheting. She is survived by her son; Jack Perryman and wife, Evelyn, her daughter; Kristin Hiett and husband, Tommy, her four grandchildren, Jennifer Gutierrez, Jacklyn Lopez, Shona Gilbert and Chasity Lemich; her 8 great-grandchildren; Ava, Amelia, Ashley, Anthony, Daylyn, Sari Rose, Jade and Payton, who all live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Wednesday, July 25 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home.
