Mrs. Kathrine J. Adkison, age 76, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2015 in Hope. Mrs. Adkison was born September 18, 1938 in Hope, Arkansas to Earl Cox Sr. and Joyce Worthy. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved to garden and cook. Mrs. Adkison was one of the most kind, caring, and generous people anybody could have met. Mrs. Adkison is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include; her husband of 56 years, Lawrence Adkison of Hope, Arkansas, one son, Rick Adkison, wife, Anna, of Hope, Arkansas, one daughter, Cynthia A. Hill, husband, Kenny, of Blevins, Arkansas, two brothers; Earl Ray Cox of Blevins, Arkansas, Larry Cox of Ashdown, Arkansas, five sisters; Norma Jean Brittain of Washington, Arkansas, Patsy Oliver of Hope, Arkansas, Reva O'Rorke of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Nina Mae Smith, husband, William, of Hope, Arkansas, Karen Sorrells, husband, Billy, of Spring Hill, Arkansas, two grandchildren; Zach Adkison of Hope, Arkansas, Kasie Sloan of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, three great-grandchildren; Raylee Adkison, Braiden Harrison, Buc Sloan Jr., along with other family and friends. There will be no formal visitation. Family will receive friends at Rick Adkison's home, 401 Hemp. 217, Hope, Arkansas. Graveside service will be 10:00am, Friday, April 17, 2015, at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Bradley, Arkansas. Arrangements made by BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director.
