Mr. Ken McMahen, 58 of Hope, Arkansas passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011 at his home. Ken was born, Friday, April 10, 1953 in Hope, Arkansas to Lyle and Margaret McMahen. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hope and Assistant Scout Master of Troop 91 for many years. Ken was also a founding member of the local 4-H/NRA Youth Shooting Club and was an employee of Tyson Foods for 20 years. His favorite pastime was fishing with friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Blake McMahen. Survived by His Wife of 37 years, Kay McMahen, Hope, Arkansas; Son and Daughter-in-law, Clayton and Jamie McMahen, Mena, Arkansas; Two Brothers, Harry Ray McMahen and Brenda, Mena, Arkansas and Gene and Cyndie McMahen, Hope, Arkansas. Also survived by several Special Nieces and Nephews. The McMahen Family will receive friends 2:00 to 4:00 pm, Sunday, September 4, 2011, Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Arkansas. Funeral service 10:00 am, Monday, September 5, 2011, Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home Chapel in Hope, Arkansas with Rev. Steve Johnson and Bro Glenn E. Tropp officiating. Burial to follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Hope, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, Memorials made be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, Little Rock, Arkansas.
