Mrs. Laverne Clifton, 75 of Prescott passed away, Thursday, July 26, 2012 in Taylor, Arkansas. She was born in Cooper, Texas on July 13, 1937 to William Thomas and Virgie Robison Yarbrough. She was a loving caring Mom and Meemaw to her family and she was a member of Central Baptist Church in Prescott. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, Randy Clifton, a brother; Tommy Yarbrough, sisters; Betty Barber and Norma Evans and a grandson; Brandon Clifton. She is survived by; three sons; Larry Clifton and wife, Cindy of Cale, Mike Clifton and wife, Mia of Emmet and Bobby Clifton and Erika of Hot Springs, two daughters; Glenda Gosser and husband, John of Coppell, Texas and Kim Curtis of Springhill, Louisiana, brother; Pete Yarbrough of Lake Creek, Texas, her sisters; Anna Akard of Paris, Texas, Cloie Sveen of Riverbank, California, Donna Baker of Oakdale, California, Wanda Merkley of Minot, North Dakota, 13 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Clifton will be 6:00 to 8:00pm, Saturday July 28 at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home in Prescott. Funeral service for Mrs. Clifton 2:00pm, Sunday, July 29 in Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home Chapel. Burial to follow in Friendship Cemetery. Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland to officiate the service.
