Ms. Leah Faye Faris, age 56, of Shawnee, Oklahoma, formerly of Hope, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, at her Mothers Home in Hope, Arkansas, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Hope, Arkansas, on October 24, 1954, to Delma (Ray) and Betty Bush Faris . She was a Manager at McDonalds in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her father and one son Kevin Dowling. Her Survivors Include: Her Mother Betty Walden, Hope, Arkansas. One Son: James Hedge, Shawnee, Oklahoma. Two Daughters: Amanda Faris, Hope, Arkansas; Sarah Pitts and Derrick, Benton, Arkansas. One Brother: Don Faris, Saratoga, Arkansas. Two Sisters: Tina McCartney, Cabot, Arkansas; Teresa Faris, Hope, Arkansas. Four Grandchildren, two special friends Amber and Jennifer of Shawnee, Oklahoma, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial Service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 13, 2010, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home Chapel, Hope, Arkansas, with Mr. Harley E. Sisson officiating.
