MR. LEONARD CHARLES FLOYD, JR., 84, of Prescott, Arkansas, was born on August 29, 1924, in Clark County, Arkansas, to Charles Sr. and Millie Roberts Floyd. He passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, in Medical Park Hospital, Hope, Ark. He was a member of Sweet Home Methodist Church, a Navy Veteran, farmer, and retired from the U of A Experiment Station of Hope. He was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Floyd, and two sisters, Lela Kirksey and Lorena Sossamon. HIS SURVIVORS INCLUDE: HIS WIFE: (of 60 years) Joyce Cottingham Floyd, Prescott, Ark. ONE SON: Bruce Floyd and Mary, Spring Hill, Ark. TWO DAUGHTERS; Janice McIver, Hope, Ark. Susan Henderson and Jim, Hope, Ark. Two Brothers: Leonard Willis Floyd and Helen, Arkadelphia, Ark. Bobby Floyd and Sue, Laneburg, Ark. Five Grandchildren: Logan Floyd, Spring Hill, Ark. Dr. Dusty McIver, Fayetteville, Ark. Ryan McIver, Dallas, TX. Matt and Zach Taylor, Albuquerque, New Mexico One Step Grandson: Lance Aymond and family, Quincy, Ill. And a host of nieces and nephews, other family and friends. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 13, 2009, at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home, Prescott, Ark., with Rev. Joe Miller, Rev Gene Ross and Rev. Jim Henderson officiating. Burial to follow in Sweet Home Cemetery, Prescott, Ark. Arrangements by Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home, Prescott, Ark.
