Lesha Renae
Cooper
Oct 8, 1963 — Oct 9, 2023
Hope
Lesha Renae Cooper, a lifelong resident of Hope, departed this life Monday, October 9th, 2023. Born October 8, 1963 to Edward and Shirley Cooper also of Hope. Lesha was a longtime member of Unity Baptist Church and came to know her Lord and Savior at a young age. Since the passing of her parents, she resided at Hope Haven Assisted Living for the past six years.
Lesha loved painting and took art lessons for several years. She enjoyed photography and liked to take pictures at family events and special occasions. In her teenage years, she loved to play tennis and ping pong. Lesha also played the guitar and relished the help her daddy would give her with the music and tuning it to his piano. Her pride and joy were the "grandkids" as she called them; Kaley and Brady. She was always asking about the new great nieces and nephew. She loved visitors and enjoyed sending notes to friends and family.
Her survivors include her sister, Sharyla Kaye Cooper Thompson (Stan) of Hensley, AR, brother, Jonathan Allen Cooper (Michelle) of Fayetteville, AR, niece, Kaley Brooke Thompson Tucker (Curt), great nieces Tessa Faye and Lana Jane Tucker of Hensley, AR and nephew, Brady Marshall Thompson (Layten) and great nephew, Palmer Graham Thompson of Hensley, AR.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward J. Cooper and mother, Shirley Faye Allen Cooper both of Hope. She longed to be with Jesus and her mom, dad and her Mamaw Hattie; she is with them now.
Visitation will be Friday October 13, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Oak Grove Methodist Church in Shover Springs with funeral following at 2:00 pm with Bro. Revel Kidd officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
