Mr. Lester Doc Fincher, 74 of Washington, Arkansas passed away, Sunday, September 25, 2011 in Houston, Texas. He was born November 22, 1936 in Hope, Arkansas to Joe Burton and Georgia Webb Fincher. Doc was retired member of the Arkansas National Guard with 24 years of service, a retired employee of the Arkansas State Highway Department and a member of Washington Baptist Church in Washington, Arkansas. One of Docs biggest loves was his volunteer work with the Cross Roads Volunteer Fire Department, in which he was one of the first to join. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, of 46 years, Virginia Butch Fincher. Survivors include; two sons; Joe J.D. Fincher and wife, Misty of Katy, Texas, son; Chris Fincher and wife, Jenifer of Blevins, Arkansas, his daughter; Rhonda Dougan of Blevins, Arkansas, his two sisters; Betty Ray of Clear Lake, Texas and Nancy Ames of Sour Lake, Texas, 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and Special Friend, Donnia Fowler of Washington, Arkansas. Family to receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope.
