Lindy S. Powell, 82, of Hope, Arkansas passed away Friday, June 28, 2024 at Christus St. Michael Hospital in Texarkana, TX. He was born October 21, 1941 in Hope, Arkansas to the late Clifford and Dolly Powell. Lindy was a life long farmer and chicken grower. He enjoyed gardening, being with family, and cutting firewood. He was employed with Pilgrims Pride Industries for 50+ years as a truck dispatcher. He was a member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Powell of Hope, daughters Tina Talley and husband Moe of Lewisville, Cheryl Powell of Hope, and son Tracy Powell of Thailand. One sister Nancy Dean of Stamps, brother Roderick Powell (Wanda) of Hope, Hillery Powell of New Hope, Rondale Powell of Hope, and Burnice Powell of Hope. Four grandchildren Brittney Taylor of Benton, AR, April Clark (Wayne) Jeremy Talley (Samantha) all of Lewisville, AR, and Abby Powell of Thailand. Eight great grandchildren Jaden Ashalintubbi, Gage Ashalintubbi, Camryn Dickson, Maddox Dickson, Janey Talley, Stevie Talley, Knox Taylor, and Jak Talley, Sister in law Josephine Helms and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

The family would like to thank Davita Dialysis of Hope and MRMC Home Health Agency for their compassionate care over the last several months.
