Mr. Arthur Lloyd Grimes, 93 of Prescott, Arkansas passed away, Monday, January, 9, 2012 in local nursing home. Mr. Grimes was born December 22, 1918 in Prescott, Arkansas to Charles Arthur and Ada Lee Tyree Grimes. He is a member of Midway United Methodist Church in Prescott, a certified Methodist Lay Speaker, with 40 years of service and retired from Delamar Chevrolet Motor Company as service manager, with over 40 years of employment. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Charles Hoytt Grimes. Survivors include, his wife of 70 years, Dorothy Grimes of Prescott, his two daughters, Martha Burke and husband, Ronnie of Hope, Donna Miller and husband, Danny of Prescott, four grandchildren: Jan Burke, Missie Evgenides, Rusty Burke and Shane Mowery and four great-grandchildren, who loved him dearly and referred to him as Dad-dad. The Grimes Family will receive friends, 6:00 to 8:00pm, Tuesday, January 10 at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott. Funeral service for Mr. Grimes will be 10:00am, Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Teeter will officiate the service.
