Obituary

Mrs. Lois E. Hawthorne, age 89 of Fulton, Arkansas passed away, Friday, January 19 2018 in Texarkana, Texas from complications of pneumonia.  Mrs. Hawthorne was born in Fulton, Arkansas on October 10, 1928 to Daisy Cox of Fulton. She was the Co-Founder and Manager of the Gas Light Night Club of Hope.  Mrs. Hawthorne was of the Baptist faith.  She is preceded in death by her mother, Daisy Cox, her husband, Jim Hawthorne, a son Charles Hawthorne, a brother Buck, a sister, Sarah Cates, her grandmother Cox and a son-in-law Gene Lee.

Mrs. Hawthorne is survived by a son Jerry Hawthorne wife JoAnn of Fulton, two daughters Linda Hawthorne Lee and Melissa Hawthorne (Rodney) all of Fulton, a sister Wanda Jean Moten, a "special" friend; Charlie Bostian of Fulton, two grandchildren Brandon Hawthorne of Fulton and Robin Hawthorne of Texarkana, Arkansas, two great-grandchildren, Dante` and Jackson, other family member and friends.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 2:00pm, with visitation starting one hour before the service at BRAZZEL/Oakcrest Funeral Home 1001 S. Main.  Bro. Larry Byers will officiate the service and burial will be in Columbus Cemetery in Columbus, Arkansas.  Arrangements are with BRAZZEL/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope, Eddie BRAZZEL, Director.
