Mr. Louis Ray Steed, age 85 of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Garden Park Nursing and Rehabilitation in Shreveport, Louisiana. He was born August 7, 1929 in Laneburg, Arkansas to the late Hillman "Red" and Girteen Sampson Steed. Mr. Steed is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 54 years, Joyce L. Steed, two sons, James Ray and Michael Louis Steed, five brothers; James, Ralph, Leroy, Harold, and Donald Steed, one sister, Genevia Steed, and one grandson, Jeremy Steed Williams. Survivors include; four daughters, Brenda Kay Hatch, husband, John, of Lake Villa, Illinois, Barbara Ann Campbell, husband, Mark, Doris Kathryn Grigsby, husband, Chester, Jana Elizabeth Tyson, husband, Brent, all of Shreveport, Louisiana, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and other family members and friends. No formal visitation is scheduled for Mr. Steed. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Brazzel/Cornish Funeral Home.
